Continuing Education Hours for the Job & Career Transition Coach Certification Workshops are now approved by ICF
Since our founding in 1979, the Career Development Network has provided training seminars and workshops for career development professionals throughout the world. Much of the training has been offered through university continuing education programs. Some seminars are conducted in business organizations. Others are organized by government agencies.
Since 1994, the Network has trained and certified over 6,000 Job & Career Transition Coaches and Job & Career Development Coaches.

Our Trainers
Starting in 1990, we evolved from teaching traditional Career "Counseling" skills to teaching the much more active and prescriptive Career "Coaching" techniques. These training and certification programs were attended by career counselors and coaches who were working with adults in job or career transition.
In 2000 we expanded our coach certification program to include human resource professionals who were working with employees desiring to develop their careers within their current organization. This expansion resulted in the designation of a new certification: Job & Career Development Coach. Since 2000, all graduates of our Coach Certification courses have received both Transition and Development credentials.
Plans are currently underway to establish the Job & Career Development Coach training and certification programs in South Africa and Brazil.
In 2001, the Network established a one-day Marketing & Business Development seminar for career counselors in private practice. Since 2007, the Network has been offering the 120-hour Career Development Facilitator (CDF) training that qualifies graduates to become Global Career Development Facilitators (GCDF) and the three-day Career Development Facilitator Instructor (CDFI) training.
The Career Development Network has been training career counselors since 1979 and our programs are approved for continuing education hours for counselors by most states.
They are approved for continuing education hours for Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (PCE # 3111).
Continuing Education Hours for the Job & Career Transition Coach Certification Workshops are now approved by International Coach Federation.
